Polyester Polymerization Reactor
Polyester Polymerization Reactor
The polyester polymerization reactor is a reaction vessel used for synthesizing polymeric compounds. It primarily involves two key steps: esterification and polycondensation. Esterification refers to the reaction between alcohols and carboxylic acids or inorganic oxygen‑containing acids, which occurs under specific temperature and pressure conditions to produce esters and water. Polycondensation, on the other hand, is a reaction in which one or more monomers undergo condensation to form polymers, with the main product being known as a polycondensate. During this process, the alcohol produced by the reaction is discharged from the reactor and collected via condensation, ultimately yielding the polycondensation product within the reactor.
